2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback Pricing

Well, Pricing has been released for the 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback. Starting at $22,190 without taxes, fees, etc. and that is for the entry-level LT model.

If you decide to spend some more coin and opt for the RS package, you'll be getting the different front and rear fascias, rockers, some fog lights, spoiler, and 18" rims.

Quote:
There are currently less expensive 5-door hatchbacks available to US customers, like the KIA Forte5 ($18,090) or the Scion iM ($19,995), though they don't come with as many standard features as the entry-level Cruze LT - which can hardly be called "entry-level" seen as how Chevrolet could have positioned another three trim levels beneath the LT, as they did with the saloon version.
Big question now. If the Cruze Hatchback LT is starting at $22k, How much do you think the SS, if one comes, will be ?

Just because the only thing, for some reason, I can reference to right now is the Ford Focus. The base model focus hatch starts at $19k whereas the RS hatch starts at $36k. Considering the SS will be competing with the RS, and considering the starting prices of each, I'll assume the SS hatch will start at $34k to $35k ? Just to stay competitive ?

Probably around there, maybe a bit less than the Focus RS, so around $30-34k to undercut the Focus RS.

But do you think the power/performance will be up to par with the Ford Focus RS ? That thing is pretty deadly from what I've been seeing

It might not and it might not have to since it can be said there's space for the Chevy Cruze SS to slot inbetween the Focus ST and Focus RS. They don't always have to put themselves on a level playing field

But at the projected cost for it, I mean if you can maximize bang for your buck.. why not ?
